Key Club meets every first and third Wednesday at 7:15 am at Wellington HIgh School, Room 104.
Project Feed is a program that Stop Hunger now provides. It packages meals for families in third world counties, as well as families in our own back yard. The package contains soy, freeze dried veggies, and rice, as well as a vitamin packet. So, all the family needs to add is boiling water! Each package feeds six. The youth of east Ohio packaged 50,000+ meals that will be distributed to those in need.
For Sweetest Day, Key Club had a Carnation Sale, selling flowers to their peers and teachers to give as gifts, to help show others that they are loved. The money raised from this sale went into our savings account, until something comes along that we would like to be able to help with.
Cookie decorating took place on Dec. 2 at Wellington's Christmas in the Village. The club gave the community an opportunity to ice cookies for a donation, as something fun to do at low cost to families. We raised $65! The proceeds went to Well-Help, Wellington's food pantry.
